This is a sample report for a made-up medical clinic.
Larkspur Family Clinic is not a real business. Your report follows the same layout, built from your own website, Google listing and mobile speed. It is free, and the preview needs no email.

Larkspur Family Clinic
larkspur-sample.example
Let a new patient book a visit from a phone in under a minute, and answer the insurance question before they have to ask.
One new-patient page led by "Same-week visits in Bellevue and Kirkland", with a Book a visit request form, the plans you accept, the providers' faces and patient quotes you have written permission to use. Use it for the Google listing and for search ads.
The services, the providers and the same-week promise already exist. What is missing is one page that removes the reasons not to book, so a new site would not change much.
This is what a customer sees when they search for a business like yours on Google, before they ever visit your website.
Location checked: Larkspur Family Clinic. 1 location checked.
| Business | Google rating |
|---|---|
| Larkspur Family Clinic (you) | 4.3★ · 38 reviews |
| Example Family Medicine A | 4.7★ · 241 reviews |
| Example Family Medicine B | 4.6★ · 160 reviews |
| Example Family Medicine C | 4.5★ · 102 reviews |
Your listing: opening hours set, phone number added, 5 photos. Comparable businesses nearby have a median of 160 reviews.
In one Google Places search for “family doctor Bellevue WA”, your listing was result 7 of the places returned. This is a limited sample from one search, not a verified Google ranking, which varies by searcher, distance and query.
On a phone, Google's test showed your main content after 3.8s (under 2.5s is good; yours is rated “needs improvement”). Slow pages lose people on phones before they ever see your phone number or booking button.

A new patient cannot book without calling during office hours
/: Header buttons read "Patient Portal" and "Pay a Bill". There is no "Book a visit" button on the page.
/new-patients: Text reads "Call us at (206) 555-0100 to schedule your first visit." No form and no online booking link.
Why it matters. People look for a new doctor in the evening or on a lunch break, from a phone. If the only way in is a call to a closed office, many will book with the clinic that lets them request a time right then.
What to do. Add a "Book a visit" button to the header of every page. Point it to a short request form: name, phone and preferred day. Do not ask for the reason for the visit or insurance details on that form. Collect those later, by phone or through your secure patient intake system. Promise a reply by the next business morning.
Insurance is the first question, and the site never answers it
/new-patients: Text reads "We accept most major insurance plans." No plan names are listed.
/: Insurance and self-pay prices are not mentioned anywhere on the page.
Why it matters. "Do they take my insurance?" decides whether a patient keeps reading. A vague line sends them to call, or to a clinic that lists its plans.
What to do. List the plans you accept by name on the new-patient page, with the date it was last checked. Add a self-pay price for a standard visit for people without coverage.
No faces and no patient voices, and fewer Google reviews than nearby clinics
/about: Text reads "Our providers are board certified and caring." No provider names, photos or bios.
/: No patient quotes, star ratings or review badges appear on the page.
Why it matters. Choosing a doctor is a trust decision. Names, faces and a few patient words answer "will I be comfortable here?" before anyone calls.
What to do. Add a photo and two-line bio for each provider. Ask every patient for a Google review with a text after the visit. Only show the words of a patient on your site with their written permission, and never include health details. Have your privacy or compliance adviser confirm what is allowed. We have not checked that.
Every service shares one page, so there is nothing for people to find by search
/services: One paragraph lists "annual physicals, sick visits, vaccinations, sports physicals and women's health" with no separate pages.
Why it matters. People search for a specific visit in a specific place, such as "same-week sick visit Bellevue". One catch-all page cannot match all of those searches.
What to do. Give each visit type its own page with the city in the title and a short "what to expect" section ending in the booking button. Start with sick visits and sports physicals.
Your plan
Make it easy to reach you
Every extra step between a visitor and you costs enquiries, especially on a phone.
Put "Book a visit" in the header of every page, not behind the patient portal.
Ask only for name, phone and preferred day. Take the reason for the visit and insurance details by phone or in your secure patient intake, not on this form.
- Put a tap-to-call phone number and one main button at the top of every page.
- Use one short form: name, phone or email, and what they need. Three or four fields at most.
- Say what happens next, for example "We reply within one business day".
- Repeat the button under each service, not only on the contact page.
- Test it on your own phone: can a stranger reach you in two taps?
Get more Google reviews
People compare ratings and review counts before they compare anything else. Asking at the right moment is the cheapest marketing you can do.
You have far fewer Google reviews than the clinics near you. More recent reviews can help people choose you, though Google does not say how reviews affect map position and other factors count too.
Send the text soon after the visit to every patient, and never ask patients to describe their health.
- In your Google listing, copy your review link ("Get more reviews").
- Ask every eligible customer within a day of their visit or purchase, while it is fresh. Do not pick and choose who to ask. A text gets more replies than an email.
- Send one ask and one reminder three days later. No more than that.
- Reply to every review, good or bad, within two days.
- Do not offer discounts or gifts for reviews, and do not only ask customers you expect to be happy. Google can remove reviews and penalize listings for both.
Hey Jordan, thanks for coming in to Larkspur today. Would you share your experience in a short Google review, good or bad? It helps neighbors choose a doctor: [review link]. Please leave out any health details.
Complete your Google listing
A complete, accurate listing gives people what they need to choose you. Google does not say how listings are ranked, and several factors contribute.
Add the booking link, accepted insurance and photos of the clinic to the Google listing.
Check that the hours match the website, including any evening hours.
- Set the main category to your most specific service, and add secondary categories for the rest.
- Add opening hours, including holidays, and keep them current.
- Add your phone number and a website link that goes to the page most likely to turn a visit into a call.
- List your services with a short description each, and prices where you can.
- Upload at least ten real photos: the place, the team, and finished work. Add a few every month.
- Write the business description in the words customers use, not your internal names for things.
- Post an update or offer once a month. It shows the listing is alive.
Your landing page brief
A landing page is one page built to get a single action, such as a call or a booking. It is not your whole website. This is the plan for yours.
Audience: Bellevue and Kirkland adults and parents looking for a primary care doctor, or a same-week visit for a sick child.
Offer: Same-week sick visits and new-patient appointments, requested online in a minute.
Headline options:
- Same-Week Doctor Visits in Bellevue and Kirkland
- A Family Doctor Who Can See You This Week
Proof to show:
- Provider names, photos and board certifications
- The insurance plans you accept, by name
- Up to three patient quotes, only with written permission and no health details
- Clinic hours, address and parking
Main button: Book a visit
How to find new customers
Google Business Profile and local search
People looking for a doctor search on a phone and pick from the map results. A complete listing with booking, hours and reviews puts the clinic in front of them as they choose.
Start with: This week, add a booking link, services, hours and photos of the clinic and providers to the listing.
Google search ads
A new patient is worth many visits over the years. Ads on "family doctor Bellevue" and "same day sick visit near me" reach people at the moment they are ready to book.
Start with: Once the new-patient page is live, run a small search campaign limited to the two cities and track every booking request.
Text message follow-up
A short text after a visit is the easiest way to get the reviews that help the listing and the ads.
Start with: Send each patient a text with the Google review link a few hours after the visit, with no health details in the message.
Partnerships with businesses that share your customers
Nearby employers and schools need a clinic to recommend for sports physicals and same-week visits.
Start with: Contact three local schools and two employers this month and offer a sports physical day.
Google Business Profile and local search + Google search ads + Text message follow-up
First, fix the listing and collect reviews by text. Then send ad clicks to the new-patient page. Each visit adds another review, which makes the next search click more likely to become a booking.
Skip for now
- Facebook and Instagram ads. Social ads reach people who are not looking for a doctor today, so most of the spend would go to the wrong audience.
- Helpful content that ranks on Google. Articles take months to rank. Do this after the listing and the new-patient page are working.
Next steps
- Add a Book a visit button to every page and replace the phone-only route with a short request form.
- List accepted insurance plans by name and add a self-pay visit price.
- Add provider photos and bios, and start asking patients for a Google review by text after each visit.
- Count booking requests and calls so you can see which searches bring new patients.
How to know it's working
- Booking requests from the site and the Google listing
- New patients who actually showed up, asked at check-in
- Calls from the listing that last over 60 seconds
- Cost per new patient by search term, once ads are running
Do you need a new website?
A landing page, not a new site. The site already has services, an about page and a patient portal. It needs one page built around booking and a few fixes to existing pages, not a rebuild.
Not sure what a term means? Read the plain-words guide.
What we couldn't see from your site alone
- Appointment volume, no-show rates, rankings and ad costs cannot be seen from the website alone.
- We could not tell whether the clinic already runs ads or uses an online booking tool inside the patient portal.
- Clinical content, privacy practices and insurance contracts were not reviewed, and we have not verified HIPAA or other compliance.
